Barbeque Sauce
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups canned, diced tomatoes with juice
1 large onion, chopped
1 small can tomato paste
1/2 cup vinegar
1/4 cup orange juice
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp molasses
1 1/2 tsp paprika
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp chili powder
1 1/2 tsp mustard powder
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Directions:
Saute the onion until it becomes soft.
Toss all ingredients into a large pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, then simmer uncovered for 3 to 3 1/2 hours on a low heat setting.
After it has cool, blend it in a food processor or a blender.
With a hand held blender there’s no need to remove the contents from the pot. Just blend it in the pot.
