Chocolate & Pecan Brownies
Gluten, wheat, dairy & soya free
- 200g plain chocolate (dairy, soya free try Tesco luxury range)
- 100g sunflower margarine (dairy & soya free try Pure)
- 85g unrefined raw cane sugar
- 4 free range eggs, separated
- 85g ground almonds
- 5 tbsp fresh white breadcrumbs (gluten, wheat & dairy free)
- 140g pecan halves
Preheat oven to 180C for fan oven, 160C, gas 4 & line a 25cm square tin with non stick paper.
Covered in a microwave bowl, heat chocolate & margarine on high for 30 seconds or until chocolate has nearly melted. Once cooled, but still melted, stir in half the sugar and the egg yolks
Whisk egg whites to firm peaks, add rest of sugar and whisk until glossy. Stir 1 tbsp into the chocolate mixture, with the ground almonds and breadcrumbs. Then fold through the rest of the egg whites through the chocolate mixture
Pour into the tin, decorate with pecans. Bake in oven for 25-30 mins. Cool in tin for 10 mins and then lift out onto wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares to eat - delicious!

we just realised i had an allergy that made me ill from gluten and wheat,this is a perfect site and i can’t wait to try them!
